I will stamp all over 'credible boxer' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round contest which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.

Briton Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two time unified boxing king Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's venue on December 19th.

Fighter's Mentality

"I will injure his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate I'm superior," Joshua, 35, stated.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's the boxer's mindset.

"I will seriously aim to hurt him. That's what I want to do."

Civil Interaction

Despite those words, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually famous for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and remained civil with each other.

Jake Paul instead attacked former Joshua rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou turned down a match opportunity.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul win.

"Jake Paul is better than Fury - he showed up," Joshua commented.

"I give him credit for that."

Legitimate Opponent

Despite declaring he will punish Paul, Anthony Joshua declined to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the Disney Channel - has primarily fought mixed martial artists or faded names since turning professional.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in last year.

Commercial Success

Nevertheless, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, regularly earning huge earnings.

Prediction and Belief

The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in rounds four or five and claimed he would derail the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for 2026.

"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul participated in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how astonishing it is that the match is actually proceeding.
